Pathetic. This is the only word that comes to mind to describe CPR. Terrible customer service and communication. If it was possible to give them zero or negative stars, I would. They had 2 devices of ours for almost 3 months. After multiple attempts to find out the status we finally received a call that one device was ready. Upon inspection the screen that we were told was the issue and needed to be replaced was not even glued down properly. In addition, they did not return the charger. Since the workmanship was poor I set up a dispute on my credit card to stop the payment until arrangements could be made to return the device for the fix that had been paid for ($324). The following week, again finally, they called to say that the other device could not be repaired. This device, too, according to them needed a new screen, and then after the screen was "fixed", a charger port. At this point my husband had enough. He let them know his frustration to which the employee said "well, your son shouldn't have broken his switch". I called that same day to ask about picking up the device and dropping the other device off to have the screen glued down properly. I was told it might be a few days as it would take some time for the glue to set up with the device in clamps. At 5 that evening I got a call wanting to know why I had put a fraud on the charges. I explained it was not reported as a fraud but a dispute. She asked if I wanted the device repaired or not as they would have to remove the new screen if I refused to pay. I, unfortunately, made the mistake of giving the go ahead to fix the screen and I called my CC company to ask them to remove the dispute. This was on Wednesday. On Monday, I called to check on the status. I was told they were waiting to get their money as it could take 30 days for ** to get the money to their bank. This was quite confusing so I contacted my CC company again, and they stated that the dispute was still open, meaning the company (CPR) and their bank/cc company had not responded to the dispute, and typically the funds do NOT take 30 days...maybe 3-5. This whole thing was a nightmare. I went by at 4PM on the following Thursday. Closed. My husband went another day to see what was going on, and he was told they couldn't give him the device. It wasn't ready meaning the screen had not been glued down. Except they told me on the phone the screen would have to be removed. Two weeks from the Wednesday phone call about the dispute from the employee I called and was told it was ready. My husband picked it up. No screen. Now my device is in worse condition than it was when it was dropped off on August 31st. I took it to another reputable repair company to see what they could do. They were honest, and they said they (CPR) should have never touched the screen and should have recommended it be sent to Microsoft. Lesson learned. However, no customer should EVER have to go through this type of treatment. Not only did the employee tell me over the phone that my husband was rude to her employee, she told me my 9 year old son was rude to her employee. Outspoken he may be, but one thing he is not is rude. He pointed out the length of time they had both devices. Save yourself time, frustration, and money, and do your research. Don't take your devices here unless you want them to be held hostage, improperly repaired, or returned in worse condition.
